Creative Recruitment
Creative recruitment agencies provide a service to the general public in obtaining employment whether part time or full time in the creative industries alone.
The areas that they cover in job hunting are from advertising agencies, photographic agencies, studios, theatres, film and television among other companies that require a particular talent. Like with other recruitment agencies, a person will have had an interview with a representative of the agency and their details will have been logged into a computer to outline their talents and skills so that the agency can search for a suitable employment for that jobseeker. Alternatively, if a job vacancy or any audition is offered by a company, then they will hire the services of the agency to perform the task of finding the right person for that job and in return, the agency will advertise in their shop window, through the internet or in various creative industry literature.
Many creative recruitment companies find their candidates directly through magazines that offer advertising space for a company to post their vacancies through them, as their target audience is very specific. For example, the magazine and website of Broadcast would show job vacancies within the broadcasting industry.
There are many other agencies present on the world wide web that provide a list of current job vacancies both for short and long term basis. They show the job title, description, location of work and usually the salary offered, including any other information that would help someone to make the decision of whether the work is right for their talent and experience. An employer will highlight the skills that are required for the job and also anything else that is of importance to them in selecting the right candidate. Like with advertising of a product, the content of the information will be clear and short in order to have an attraction at first glance and, very rarely will there be a long winded description as it can lose attention and cost more. During the interview stage other aspects of the job would be dealt with then.
Whether a country experiences a high or low unemployment rate, recruitment jobs will always have a place in advertising and marketing materials, as it is the best way to search for an individual that has the skill, education and experience that most suits a particular creative recruitment job description.
