Anthony Abuah is an actor based in London. He is the third born to a Nigerian father (of the Eastern Ibo region) and a Rwandan mother (of the Tutsi tribe). Due to the occupations of his parents, particularly his father, Anthony has lived in a total of 7 different countries across the globe, which include Switzerland, Nigeria, Togo, Congo, and The UK.

Growing up, his father would often show him biopics on historical events such as Ghandhi (starring Sir Ben Kingsley), Khartoum and Ben Hur (both starring Charlton Heston). Naturally, as a result of this, Anthony became extremely interested in classic film noir and the big 'sweeping' epics of old. Additionally, during his school years, this young man excelled at history and often recievied awards.

Anthony developed an interest for performance aged 11 whilst attending L'Ecole Internationale de Geneve, Switzerland. He performed in various school plays and even helped write one of his school productions, a version of Shakespeare's Taming of The Shrew, and acted in various other school productions. It was this desire for story-telling and performing that drew him to take GCSE Drama (achieving Grade A), much to the dislike of his father, who wanted his son to follow in his footsteps and someday read Law at Kings College. Anthony respected  his father tremendously but he knew he'd never be satisfied doing that.

Aged 16, his two major career options were to be either a footballer or an actor! To please his father, he pursued a degree in International Relations at University. After only completing a year there and achieveing a 2:1, Anthony subsequently left. He began writing scripts chronicalling his life experiences and would often imagine what his life would be like as an actor.

He began performing in student films and eventually joined the little known Award-Winning MeWe Youth Theatre Company in Kingston. It was here that he had his first taste of the London fringe theatre scene. A notable performance was in a supporting role in Equiano's Cup: A play based on the life of the emancipated Slave and author Olaudah Equiano. Whilst working on the play, Anthony began to take great pride in the continent of Africa and became more aware of his own Africanness. This prompted him to think seriously about the lack of African representation that existed in the industry. The great African stories, the great leaders, and the wonderful people were not always being exposed to the outside world for their good. Anthony has made it his career goal to tell the stories of Great Africans around the world whose voices haven't yet been heard.

He has written various feature and short length screenplays . With his strong spiritual belief and determination there is no doubt that they will be made. He is also in the process of forming his own Production Company aptly named The Timeless Entertainment Company which he hopes will produce the scripts he has created. Look out for Anthony in the near future.
