Music Artist

Music artist collaborations with other musicians, music producers and professionals within the creative industries can bring that person’s talent into the public domain. There are many music artists in the world from instrumental musicians to singers and songwriters. These performing artists and their talents are for entertainment purposes and their success depends on their target audience and fans.
An artist’s music will be categorised into a particular genre of music and there are many from rock, rhythm & blues, classical, pop, alternative and funk being just a drop in the ocean. There is also world music that utilise unique musical instruments and language. Music itself, has been around since the beginning of time and everyone listens to it. It is there to enable a person to relax, feel nostalgic, be creative and experience other spiritual and recreational paths.
A music artist is up against much competition to be able to break into such a diverse and massive industry, especially the mainstream. However, there is always room for an artist who has a fresh sound and image to their talent. The music industry and its artists can revolutionise the way a society lives and thinks. Creating music and lyrics can be used as a form of escapism or therapy for some artists, like Tupac Shakur. Whereas others produce songs to educate a group of people to change their wrong ways, such as abolishing violence, war, guns and knife use. The young generation who are easily influenced have music idols they believe in more than their own families. Children will want to be like them as musicians perceive a lifestyle that can be achieved through this talent. Some of the younger generation will feel this as being achievable than the conventional professions that require educational qualifications that might feel out of reach.
Along with the fortune, there is a lot of pressure on these artists to perform and tour, come up with better sounds, maintain their image and compete to remain within the top of the industry. They are a product that we buy into and so music producers are always on the look out for new talent and work hard in making these talents commercially viable.
During their career span, a musician can be regarded as a legend like Madonna or Prince as they have contributed to the changing trends in music. There are those who even after their death, have continued to influence both old and new musicians for years to come such as Michael Jackson, John Lennon, Elvis Presley, Bob Marley, Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix among many a music artist.
