Actors and Actresses

Actors and actresses are performing artists who work both on screen or on stage in front of millions. They are also known as talents or extras in advertising press campaigns and television commercials. An actor could have a very small role as an extra in a film or be the main protagonist. Whatever the case, they show their creativity in front of an audience by entertaining them in some way, whether by delivering a dialogue or merely by being in view on stage or in the frame on screen.
To be professional in this field would require some training and many start their career by enrolling in acting schools or other film and theatre educational establishments that offer a course in this specialised field as part of their curriculum. To become an actor is not as simple as it may appear, there are various breathing, verbal and physical aspects and techniques that need to be mastered in order to be recognised as having a talent. Along with this, there is the ‘judging a book by its cover’ element that plays a major, if not one of the main areas an actor would constantly attain to, becoming a mentally and physically draining routine.
Talent scouts and creative talent agencies have become so successful due to so many people dreaming that if only they can appear in the spotlight then they would be able to achieve the lifestyle led by many Hollywood actors and actresses. They know that if the audience like them then there is much fame and fortune acquired through this talent.
In effect, these artists build on a portfolio throughout their career of various assignments showing their capabilities that would offer them parts in roles of various genres of film, television or theatre. Even talents who speak English as a second language have found a place in mainstream entertainment platforms.
Upcoming actors would usually be offered smaller roles first and get seen by many producers and agencies before getting more varied and bigger roles. Also, there is the numbers game of the more the public view the piece, the more likely those actors and actresses will be in demand.
